Couples Counseling
Couples counseling at HealWell Counseling is a space to slow things down and really look at what’s been happening between you.
Most couples don’t come in because everything fell apart overnight. It’s usually a buildup—miscommunication, tension, feeling unheard, or just not as connected as you used to be.
Whatever brought you here, we’ll work together to understand the dynamic and start creating something that feels better for both of you.
Couples counseling can be helpful if you’re experiencing:
-
Ongoing arguments or communication breakdowns
-
Feeling disconnected or distant from each other
-
Trust issues or difficulty rebuilding after hurt
-
The same conflicts coming up over and over
-
Stress from life transitions impacting the relationship
-
A desire to strengthen an already solid relationship
What If My Partner Is Unsure?
It’s very common for one person to feel more ready for counseling than the other.
If your partner is hesitant, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re against it. Sometimes people worry about being blamed, feeling uncomfortable, or just don’t know what to expect.

A good starting point is keeping the conversation simple and low-pressure. You might frame it as wanting to improve communication or better understand each other—not as something that needs to be “fixed.”

If it helps, you’re also welcome to reach out on your own first. We can talk through what’s been going on and how to approach the conversation in a way that feels more natural.
We support couples navigating:
-
Communication issues
-
Conflict and recurring arguments
-
Trust concerns and rebuilding after betrayal
-
Emotional distance or disconnection
-
Differences in needs, expectations, or priorities
-
Stress related to work, family, or major life changes
If you’ve been going back and forth about whether to start couples counseling, that usually means something needs attention.
You don’t have to wait until things get worse to take that step.
At HealWell Counseling, we’ll work with both of you to better understand what’s been happening and help you move toward something more steady and connected.
